Perfect Pink Pout

Perfect Pink Pout

Ok, I’m over the red lip- there I said it! It’s getting warm outside and I’ve decided that a pink lip is now the way to go. I tried the new look for the first time this week and I loved it…so girly and fun! I felt like it was summertime all day :) If you’re thinking you can’t pull it off, think again…I was suspicious at first too, but if you keep your eye makeup neutral and go light on the blush, you can’t miss! Pick a shade you like whether  it’s bubblegum or dusty rose…I promise you’ll be smiling all afternoon!

Tempting Teal

Tempting Teal

It’s no secret that I am partial to all things green, so of course I adore the version used in this ivory card box, accented with TEAL. Sometimes considered a bit 1990′s, I totally disagree- I think teal can be used in a very modern and clean way, especially when paired with a neutral color. Use it in your flowers, accessories (shoes of course!) and accent your decor with teal uplighting…your own little oasis :)

Rock the Color Block

Rock the Color Block

Who loves color? We do! I’m very excited about the new color blocking trend and you if you love color, you will be too. Basically this gives all of us license to wear bold hues together without apologies. Layer up to three shades (don’t be afraid to go loud!) and have some fun with it. My only ‘rule’ would be to keep your accessories on the neutral side so you don’t take away from the rest of your super look…but go for it otherwise! A bag, a pair of shoes or a dress…it’s up to you :)

Pretty Pink Lace

Pretty Pink Lace

While we all love weddings of course, not everything works for this type of affair, some things work better for other events. One of those things, which I adore, is pretty pink lace-perfect for a sweet sixteen, baby shower or even a little girl’s birthday party! This delicate embellishment, as you can see from it’s use in this card box is just beautiful. It adds a special element that makes everything feel feminine and fun. Of course, if you are the guest of honor, be sure to spot a lovely lace dress…what could be more appropriate? :)

Oversized Bags

Oversized Bags

Good news ladies, weekender bags are no longer just for the weekend! If the runways are any indication, these fabulous oversized bags are going to become your everyday go-to. Already a fan, I throw my lunch, my shoes, my umbrella and my Zumba weights (hey, they’re only 2 lbs!) in mine each morning. These gorgeous versions from Alexander Wang, Chloe and Fendi are a little on the pricey side, but you can pick up a perfectly stylish version just about anywhere-so go out and have some fun shopping…then take all your goodies home in your new bag :)

Passion for Purple

Passion for Purple

Even though it’s Spring and that makes me think of lighter colors, purple is my exception :) One of my all time faves, even this deep version works anytime of the year. Whether you are planning a wedding, an anniversary party or a birthday celebration, the shade brings a feeling of royalty and class to any occasion…plus it’s just fun! It goes so well with neutrals, like the brown and cream of this lovely card box, you really can’t go wrong!

Pick Your Pony

Pick Your Pony

Remember how much fun it was when you were a little girl and you and your friend’s did each other’s hair in funky weird ponytails? I do and I’m happy to say those ‘silly’ styles are now trendy! These fun ponytails are being seen on all the runways, from high and sleek to low and loose, there is something that works for everyone. I especially love the intertwined version because it serves up a unique look that works for day or night and it’s pretty simple for anyone to accomplish with a few hair ties! In fact…I’m going to try it right now-you do it too, tell us  how it goes :)

Spring Into Color

Spring Into Color

Love, love, LOVE the new trend in colored jeans! Now, I had my first pair of green skinnies when I was in 6th grade and I’ve been waiting for this fun fashion to come back and it finally has! Just about every store is creating their own version of these stellar jeans, so you’re sure to find a pair that suits your style…whether you rock them with heels, sneakers or cute flats, I promise you are going to adore the look as much as I do :)

Starlight Starbright

Starlight Starbright

Looking at this card box makes me think if starry skies and moonlit nights! Ok, that may seem a little cheesy, but what a great idea for a wedding theme! Just imagine your guests walking into a stunningly lit room with stars and sparkles coming down from the ceiling, bringing a spectacular ambiance to the space. There is so much you can do with this elaborate yet classic idea…have fun with it!

Sassy Stencils

Sassy Stencils

So, we just bought a house (yay!) and one of the most important things to me is making sure my home feels unique and really reflects our personalities. I’m not a wallpaper girl, but I want to give the space more character than just a coat paint can offer…answer? Stenciling! I absolutely adore this trend…creating the perfect pattern is as easy as picking out something that speaks to you (calming for the bedroom? elegant for your dining area? fun for the playroom?) and then let your imagination go wild! Choose fun colors for the wall (or even the staircase!) and then use a more neutral color for your design. The best part? If you ever get sick of it…just pull out your paint brush and draw up something new :)
